At Embrace Abilities, we believe in supporting the whole family. Our inclusive, community-driven programs foster connection, growth, and belonging for children and young adults with different abilities—as well as their siblings and caregivers—across the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
For children ages 3–11, Little Legends offers monthly indoor play events, sensory-friendly activities, and outdoor park meetups. This program creates a safe, engaging space for kids to make friends, explore, and have fun together with their families.
Designed for tweens, teens, and young adults ages 12–21, Legend Makers features social groups and outings that help participants build life skills, confidence, and meaningful connections in a supportive environment.
Parent Ambassador-led gatherings at local parks and community spaces, Play & Connect Meetups offer casual, welcoming opportunities for families to connect, share experiences, and build friendships outside of structured events. All ages and siblings are welcome.
Sibshops are fun, supportive workshops just for siblings of children and young adults with different abilities. These sessions help siblings share their own experiences, build resilience, and connect with peers who understand their unique journey.
Held quarterly, Coffee with Caregivers provides a welcoming space for parents and caregivers to share, learn, and support each other. Each session features guest speakers, peer-led discussions, and practical resources for navigating the journey of parenting and caregiving.
Our Community Outreach program brings inclusion and awareness to the broader community through events, partnerships, and advocacy. We work to build a more welcoming world for all families and abilities by connecting with local organizations and raising awareness.
At Embrace Abilities, everyone has a role to play in building a more inclusive community. Whether you’re a family seeking support, a professional wanting to partner, or someone ready to volunteer, your involvement makes a difference!
Families are invited to join our inclusive programs and events, where you’ll find connection, support, and a welcoming community of others who understand your journey.
We collaborate with allied professionals to enhance our programs, share expertise, and build a network of resources that benefits every family we serve.
Volunteers are the heart of Embrace Abilities, helping us create meaningful experiences, support events, and extend a warm welcome to all who participate.
