Embrace Abilities, founded by Bridgett Lee, was born from her personal journey as a parent raising her daughter Emma, who has special needs. Watching Emma face the challenges of daily life, Bridgett was inspired to create a space where children with disabilities could not only receive the support services they need but also thrive.
Bridgett’s experience as a mother led her to understand the importance of building a supportive network for parents and caregivers, offering resources that encompass child health support, mental health services for children, and early childhood development programs. Initially started as a Facebook group to connect families, Embrace Abilities was formally incorporated in April 2024, reflecting a deep commitment to fostering community across the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
No parent feels isolated here, and every child’s potential is celebrated. Our mission is to provide comprehensive care, offer access to pediatric services, and ensure families have the guidance and resources to support their children’s growth and development.
At Embrace Abilities, our team comprises dedicated parents with firsthand experience navigating the challenges and triumphs of raising children with special needs and varying abilities. Our collective expertise spans various areas, including pediatric healthcare, mental health services for children, and special education. We are committed to providing comprehensive support for families, ensuring access to child therapy services, early childhood development programs, and nutrition support for kids.
In addition to our personal experience, we collaborate with certified professionals in pediatric care, therapy, and disability services to offer specialized guidance and resources. Whether through physical activity programs, emotional wellness support, or health services for children with disabilities, our goal is to help children thrive in an inclusive and supportive environment.
